Italian judoka Giovanni Esposito became World Cadet Champion in 2015 in Sarajevo. He claimed European silver medal at in 2022 in Sofia. He won a bronze medal at the European Cadet Championships and claimed the gold at the EYOF 2015 in Tbilisi U66kg. He is raised in Napoli. He captured bronze at the European Open in Oberwart in 2018. He won the European Cup U21 in Leibnitz in 2018. He World Tour silver medals at the Grand Slams in Tel Aviv and in Abu Dhabi and Grand Prix in Zagreb. Won the 2025 Grand Prix Linz together with his brother Antonio.
